Our expert dance teachers bring the magic of Bollywood to your to your school, college or university because we understand just how to get young learners of all backgrounds excited about India! Through explanation of our Festivals, Traditions and Rituals, demonstrate just how deeply-rooted dance is within Indian culture.

In partnership with primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across London, BollyCo runs on-going after-school dance classes and we also regularly offer one-off Bollywood school workshops.

Our Bollywood school workshops can be easily integrated into any geography, history, or social studies curriculum. Our workshops always include an introduction to Bollywood and Indian cinema, a fun and engageing warm-up, an explanation of a song’s meaning and of course, plenty of dancing!

We are able to provide complete lesson plans designed to span complete a full term or, with our exciting ‘one-off’ Bollywood dance workshops, children can gain overview of the dance style which sparks interest and increases curiosity.

Teacher Tips for Bollywood School Workshops

  • Identify your numbers: Our Bollywood School Workshops typically last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the age group. We accommodate up to 30 students at a time, but we recommend slightly less than this.
  • We accommodate simultaneous workshops for larger numbers of students; for example if your school has multiple sites (Primary and Secondary), we often send two teams to teach on the same day.
  • Scale: We provide anywhere from three dancers to ten and our pricing varies accordingly. We offer both dance workshops and performance displays which are perfect for cultural days, PTA evenings and school Summer Balls.
  • Safety: All instructors have a minimum of three years prior in-school experience and are DBS checked.
